Sustainability certainly hasn’t been a priority for assistants organising events, particularly as we often have to manage events alongside our actual day job and the budgets we have to spend on events are still quite a bit smaller than they were a few years ago. Reduce your waste and reduce the budget for next year. Think ahead.

Although catering is an important money maker for most venues you can negotiate on costs here. The more bedrooms you book the more you can negotiate and get free of charge.
