This will not only deal with problems for the younger generation to get onto the “ property ladder “, but may in time re-establish the multi-generation household with all it’s social benefits of care for the elderly, or supervision of children by grandparents, while the parent is in the “home-office&# earning a living.

A project is not about checking your emails each day. It is not about updating your bookkeeping or worrying about your finances. Not to mention overhead like cleaning up emails, invoicing, etc. @PM People can look over the walls of your office or walk right in. In other words, a project is fully time-based.

Sure, it’s great to hit the snooze button and give yourself an extra hour of R&R once in awhile, but before you know it, you’re getting up at noon and puttering around before you answer your customer emails. It’s all too easy to fall into bad habits, starting with procrastination. For starters, institute a schedule and stick to it.

But there is an important 25% which is made by consulting time, programming or interaction (email or social media). Just because you don’t have a fixed office to ground you down, this doesn’t mean you don’t have to keep them informed. I’ve moved away from the “formal home office&# also.
