It occurred to me that even the most basic information isn't common knowledge sometimes. Whenever you interview for a job, there’s at least 2-3 interviews if not more. Sometimes companies don’t validate for parking especially if you are doing testing at a temp agency and are there for a few hours.

The shortest route is to look for temp work thru agencies or TaskRabbit, Craiglist, or volunteer. Be honest you understand the paycut and why it doesn't bother you at the appropriate time in the interview process. Think about all of this before you start asking people for help or when you network.

I spent the next four months resting, soul-searching, temping here and there and took a 2 week vacation.
