Tell us your story on how you went from temping in LA to being the EA of high-profile CEOs. I found every single one of my jobs through a temping agency or by referral. I learned through informational interviews that I should apply to temp agencies. So I left that temp gig and went to work for the CEO.

While there are some badly prepared job candidates, there are plenty who have practiced their answers, done research on your company and are prepared to offer their take on industry trends. Maybe this economic environment can lead people to believe that they are desperate for a job. I almost left before the interview.

It’s like stage stress, before walking up on a TV show or a big opening act. I think it’s good to change, to reconnect and adapt to whatever environment you fall into. Just look at our environment: nighttime, no sun, the moon. Kind of like “offshoring&# in the tech industry. People respond to humans.
