Thanks to Margit Crane of Gifted With ADD. I look at my to-do list at the beginning of each week and schedule my tasks in my calendar as if they were a client meeting. I found that if I blocked out time in my calendar, it helped me in a couple of ways. There are antidotes, of course, to overcoming the reluctance.

So, when I received the gift of a planner that had big boxes for each day, I simply jotted down my total minutes spent moving or doing something active in the corresponding box on each date. I have a calendar full of the total time I’ve moved each month on my desk. Why bother when we have email, social media, text and so forth?

Try to set up the communication of the office so your boss checks their own emails and responds, but you are in charge of all the mtg coordination, phones, and anything that happens in the office. Every morning, for instance, I get out of bed, scan my calendar on my Blackberry to just remind myself of what's on tap for the day, do yoga. there's any urgency to your needing me, you should send me email.

Tame Your Email 1. Turn off email alerts when emails arrive in your inbox. If you know that you will never answer an email, delete it right away. Create email folders same as you would for word doc and paper files. Utilize your calendar to schedule tasks. In the calendar. Grocery shopping? Triumph!
