There are a lot of different resources available to assistants. From magazines, blogs, exclusive membership clubs to events and exhibitions. Some resources are better than others and we do have a lot of choice. The magazine subscription is entirely free to anyone who works as a PA, EA or senior admin professional.

You can follow and connect with other Assistants, clients, colleagues, suppliers, brand ambassadors and influencers. I can personally recommend the EUMA and Executive Secretary Magazine groups for interactive social networking across the globe. Hootsuite Podium is also a free training resource for social media.

I spent a lot of time researching great venues, restaurants, hotels and suppliers and I really enjoyed it. During my years working in London I subscribed to the magazine so that I could keep up with all of the weekly goings on. Keep a list of great restaurants and add to it whenever you come across a new suggestion. Great websites.
