Be honest you understand the paycut and why it doesn't bother you at the appropriate time in the interview process. Learn to answer why being an EA appeals to you more than any other job. If you know the interviewing process is going to drag out another three weeks because the final decision needs to be made by the CEO who is currently fishing in Alaska -- then say it will be at least three weeks before a decision is made. I always hear that temp work is a good way to get experience, but wonder if HR ever cares about it.

Nice to read about your writing process in-depth. I saw E.Gilbert’s TED talk shortly before I learned I suffered from Bipolar Disorder and what she said resounded so true it was scary.
