My suitcase was packed, my traveling clothes all laid out. An hour later, they returned to inform us that our flight was delayed. During the week the lobby is busy hosting informal meetings for the local business folk but on the weekend (I arrived late Friday afternoon) the City and the hotel are tranquil locations to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. For room service I ordered fish and chips (a British staple) and a large glass of wine.

Some things that are nice to have on hand are a box of staples, various size clamps, extra pens and some highlighters. Organizing the desktop - I also like to have a clear desk with things I need in easy reach such as a stapler, staple remover, tape and some paper clips. I then look on my to-do list for what I need to do.

Facebook is still going to be incredibly popular in 2015 and will continue to be a great source of information for assistants. For assistants this software will be most useful if your Executive team uses it to collaboration and storage of board papers – goodbye printing and stapling hundreds of documents each year!

I was in back-to-back Committee meetings and I decided to use two different colours of folders, a blue one for the Committee members, with an attendance sheet stapled to the inside cover for my purposes, along with their meeting packages, and a red one for the Chair with everything the Chair was going to need. Too much information.

Wordpress is not just a software, but a platform for managing, creating and publishing information on the Internet without having any technical and programming skills. Evernote information is stored in the cloud (so that I do not have to worry about my computer crashing) but allows me to add a note from my computer, iPad, or phone.
