When you interview for new jobs, do your yearly job performance reviews, network, or whenever appropriate, make it clear you have bigger goals. State you’d love to be an EA and learn so much you can be promoted to coordinator, director, manager. 2) Make it clear you have bigger goals. 3) Work for a bigger company in a smaller role.

We also got 2 floating/personal holidays, about 3-10 sick days, and also working in the entertainment industry, most places shut down for the last 10-14 days of the year. Other jobs, because they were temp to full time, I didn’t even have the benefits of paid vacation time or paid sick days for almost a year.
