The reception area leads on to the restaurant area and to a small bar space – The Consulting Room which serves cocktails and afternoon tea. The room, like the hotel, was small but perfectly formed. With the newspapers thoroughly read I made my way down to the restaurant for dinner. The food was lovely and fresh.

Luckily my hotel, The Colonnade, probably noticing all of the left over Subway wrappers invited me to sample the menu at their in-house restaurant, Brasserie Jo. for the first time, in a French restaurant in Boston. The atmosphere in the restaurant was pretty relaxed. So far, not so good. No wonder he looked so happy.

My suitcase was packed, my traveling clothes all laid out. My dad has always enjoyed days spent swimming in the ocean, followed by hearty dinners at nice restaurants.
