Around December last year (2010) Google launched a pilot program in which they gave away thousands of notebook units they called “Cr-48″ – a prototype of the Chrome OS-based notebook. Google Tasks. Add and manage your tasks from your Chromebook using Google Tasks. Google Calendar. Google Docs.

Last weekend, the keyboard lights went out. The ALT works the same way as the ALT key on your computer keyboard. It makes the alternate numbers and characters on the keyboard available. As you can imagine, I couldn’t use the keyboard at night. Read on, you may find a surprise. I was a bit frustrated. Time will tell.

I was considering one of the Android phones and the Motorola CLIQ has stood out given the tight integration with Google Apps and social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook. BASIC PHONE: Sound quality and connections (rarely a dropped call) are better on the Verizon network (than iPhone on AT&T) 2.

I don’t use my iPad for social media, but my iPhone is good to go for that stuff — which is more than ideal for what I’ll be using those networks for at Macworld|iWorld and during The OmniFocus Setup. I also love my original Zaggmate keyboard. No need for new if the old still works for what you do.

I enjoyed having a full QWERTY keyboard without all of the keys, in such compact form factor. That meant it had to replace my notebook computer on many fronts, such as provide an alternate path to social networking, email, note-taking, Google Apps, music, video, and some tangentially interesting games.

I will get a keyboard or piano and learn to play it. I really appreciate all the feedback and exchanges we have here and on various social networking platforms. Nonetheless, here’s my 2013 year in preview… I will write another book. But only one…a much bigger one. I will go to less events…but make more of an impact at them.

This saves a bunch of time if you have to do a function several times and there isnt a keyboard short cut. Try checking Yahoo Groups or Google Groups. Also, Facebook has a few I believe. This repeats the last function you did (ie inserting a row in Excel) if you press the ctrl Y you will keep inserting rows.
