I thought she had the potential to be a great assistant except for her low self esteem and she would put herself down when she made a mistake. it requires a firm culture that discusses recovery openly and strongly support it -both in action and written policy. Too much information. One day she just up and quit.

That’s a crappy example, but you get the point. It demonstrates self-confidence. I like your before/after examples that light up the point. If I ever have to use an example of stupidity in my copy, that stupidity has to be on my part. Good example is Naomi. Go read my blog for a few hours and get psyched up.

Despite being well written, the information was dangerously misleading and in several areas, false. Take psychology-style self-help books as an example, arguably the single most destructive e-book on the internet today. Now, of course, self-help books are not always a total waste of time. This happens in real life, too.

A job ad is there to give you useful, helpful information so that you can see if you’re a good match and to help you apply in a way that doesn’t annoy the hell out of us. When the job ad says email us with information and samples, don’t tweet us and say, “Just click here.&# DON’T have low self-esteem.

They give both good and bad examples of things that they’ve done or observations they’ve made. My blog is just a little newborn baby and this serves as a great reminder: although my intention is to share how-to information, I don’t need to always sound like an authority.
