I would also volunteer at work and socialize with my co-workers during the holiday gift wrapping parties. I mentored other younger assistants. I will find a job with a boss that is humble and smart and a team that is friendly and kind. I also tried to get to know the other assistants by going to lunch with them during the year.

I find that 98% of the time, if I've interviewed well, listened to my intuition about who should join my team, given that. there's any urgency to your needing me, you should send me email. they email me, chances are they'll get an answer pretty darn fast. in a day and still get work done, so it's better for me if people email.

Tame Your Email 1. Turn off email alerts when emails arrive in your inbox. If you know that you will never answer an email, delete it right away. Create email folders same as you would for word doc and paper files. Examples: If you have a full email box, then schedule an hour each morning to tackle it.
