I have always been a believer in sharing ideas and have received my best education from other assistants. I have been on some interactive sites where assistants ask questions and get answers and I learn from them as I have some of the same questions. Lunch n learns are also a good way to learn from each other.

This is where an assistant network can come in handy. I often reach out to my network to get answers to problems that come up at the office or just to lend a sympathetic ear. I had a big learning curve going into it and I didnt know any of the other assistants so I felt all alone with my challenges.

Just a secretary.

There are many teachers in my extended family and it seemed like something I could do well, but our family did not have any money to further my education and I became a secretary instead. I am sure I could have done well as I have learned nearly everything there is to know about getting someone from point A to point B.

Oh where or where is my password?

I logged onto my computer last week and put in my network password, then to open my Outlook account I had to put another password in for that. If someone scans your computer or network for that word, they'll find your file right off. Lets enjoy our day together.© August 03, 2010 Jolene said.
