But I’ve come to realize over the past couple of weeks that, with all the traveling I do, it’s just not efficient for me to keep switching from Outlook when I’m in my office, to Gmail when I’m traveling and using my laptop, back to Outlook again when I’m back in my office.

Fun travel apps are Skype (for calling home), SimplyNoise (great for sleeping in noisy places), Sit or Squat (find a bathroom), and CheapGas. My Kindle app is a lifesaver while traveling. I have Dropbox on my phone as well so I can easily send documents to my consultants while on the road. C.onfidence and U.nending S.erenity!

I love the way the keyboard works on the device and it really speeds everything up for me on an OS that I''m still getting acquainted with right now. I started mine up with the beer edition, Drink Local (I mean, I have a beer cellar after all), and the latest edition, Cold Horizon, features winter colours. I''m glad I did. SodaStream.

Things I had input on my phone wouldn’t show up on my computer and vice versa. Some online task and project management systems are more up to speed on this kind of thing and have apps for your phone to make capturing information easy even when you’re offline. Learning a new system. I’m using a paper planner again (hooray!).

Postbox does integrate with several other apps, including Dropbox (allowing you to send links to your Dropbox files rather than the files themselves) and Evernote (you can send message content to Evernote – Mac only). In my job I travel and take my laptop, and with that I use a WIFI modem. Postbox is rubbish.

When I travel I use a high-capacity thumb drive for all the new files I create, along with the main Businesses directory that contains nearly everything I work on frequently. I actually gave up on Google Notebook when they announced they were going to cease development, I guess they changed their minds. Dropbox is vastly wonderful too.

I mean it’s a very good back-up solution, but the nicest thing of all is to have cloud syncing. sync your data completely with Dropbox via Edge, #g or WiFi. Dropbox released an API for interacting with its widely popular cloud storage service only a few weeks ago but when I saw the press release, I knew I had to work with it.
