Unlike the other applications I’ve covered ( Evernote and Dropbox ), there’s not really much to write about in terms of how I don’t use it. I can’t stress enough how much time Hazel has saved me because of the ability to set up either incredibly simple or complex rules. Less is indeed more with Hazel on my side.

Why it was a wise choice: Storing my files in the cloud rather than on a physical hard drive or flash drive makes it easy to access them from my desktop, laptop, iPad, and phone. It’s also super easy for me to share files with others. It’s been crucial in learning how to unplug from work and give myself true down time. #3

And anything stored on your hard drive can be retrieved from backup files (I use Carbonite for those who are interested). It takes time to train yourself on something new, no matter how simple or “intuitive” it may be. Plus, you have to learn how to make the system work for your needs. So that’s my new system.

How to do a Task Audit: Write down everything you do to run your business.
