I am not a freelancer as such but I do work from home and I’ve training my boss and colleagues to stop arranging meetings after 4pm (still working on that one), I’ve been forcing myself to step away from the keyboard and to stop checking work emails after hours. You have plenty of time left for that client. Those days are better.

Now, my theory is that King didn’t get to write pretty darn good stuff every single time he sat down at the table just because he was genetically gifted with brilliance. It would be much easier to keyboard it but I know it wouldn’t have the same effect as writing it by hand. He’s been doing it for too long. I get hand cramps!

We need to listen to one another and see if those new ideas have merit, or if they open up any other possible courses of action. Of course, that’s if change is what we decide we want after we’ve talked it over. Then I want us to gather up all our power and direct it together in one solid course of action.

Of course, all the best-laid plans go astray, as they say. Of course my on-the-job experience was invaluable too, but the things I picked up at University are embedded in a different way. Speaking to the subject coordinator today, she said that the course is trying to keep up with the times in terms of new technology and media.
