It is really important to set healthy boundaries in the workplace. Thousands of employees tell me they can’t attend training because their company won’t pay for it. That is short-term thinking and it makes me sad because it tells me that an individual doesn’t think enough of themselves to invest in their own education.

Is there funding out there for education? . Check your local education campuses to see if you qualify. You have to show your executive and business owner how investing in your development will benefit them or the company. What about taking advantage of training from Skillsoft or an employee training through your company?

It's obvious that e-mail is here to stay, yet you say few companies really educate workers about how and why to use it. We can’t leave the training up to companies alone. Then parents can educate them specifically about what to avoid and what to do. Tags: workplace communications e-mail.
