After only 2 weeks, I found a great company through a staffing agency and the position was full time working for a wonderful CEO. The staffing agent asked if I was open to temp to perm, even though the position was for a full time EA, he feels the CEO may need time to see if it is a good fit. How long do you think is fair?

I was out of work, temping here and there for a year. Don’t underestimate the value of temping. Working for a temp agency can either land you a full-time job or help to keep you employed while you are looking. Taking on temp jobs will introduce you to potential employers where you can showcase your abilities.

Prior to this role, I supported 4 Executives at a Security company for 8 years and loved it but they relocated the division to another city so that's how I ended up where I am currently. And as I was working, job hunting and/or temping, I had to find other sources of happiness. I've been the EA to the President of a local t.v.

Here’s your retirement cheque, go build your house, put in a pool, and stay with your girlfriend for the rest of your life,&# then I would probably kill myself. I mean, look at how many bricks and mortar companies are “off-shoring&# workers to save a buck and pass the savings on to customers or shareholders.
