I will attend more conferences in a year than ever before. I bought some nice bourbons and whiskeys this calendar year, and made sure I followed through on this in other areas as well. I will buy gifts for others well in advance of the time they are needed. I will turn 38. The office will be my birthday present to myself.

2) Later that day we also had a conference call scheduled with another vendor who wanted to earn our business. They admit they completely forgot as they had a personal emergency and no one has access to their calendar. In the very very worst instances, you might need to buy flowers or a gift. This call was scheduled 2 weeks out.

I stand back, and begin moving notes until the ideas start flowing into easy categories: Blog, Projects, Home, Family, Health - etc. Utilize your calendar to schedule tasks. Sit down at your calendar and block out the time for your tasks. If you need to write/send your holiday cards then look at your calendar and schedule it in.
