The vast majority of respondents ( 91 percent ) also felt support staff should be recognized on Administrative Professionals Day (April 24), a 25-point jump from a similar survey conducted in 2005.

One thing I have found that goes a long way are personal handwritten thank you notes and Starbucks gift cards. I sent her a personal note and a gift card to say thank you.
