This is what we do: My husband monitors travel sites and email subscription services for super-cheap flights or error fares. Sometimes one of us travels for work and the other tags along. We watch hotel prices, and often book rooms using points, free nights and other discounts. With us, travel is always interesting.

We held our first Assist Travel conference and exhibition on Friday 25th September at the Hilton Bankside and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed the day. As with all of our Assist Events we like to make sure that it is a little different and I loved our travel themed registration desk. I hope those that came along enjoyed it too.

As we had arrived early and our room was not quite ready we were taken to the terrace bar and restaurant for a complimentary drink. Once we returned to the hotel we were at the mercy of the concierge for a restaurant recommendation that evening. The following morning we headed to the terrace restaurant for breakfast.
