I keep a number of notifications alive, like new friendship requests from Facebook, replies form Twitter and PayPal (yeah, I do love those daily tiny alerts telling me that people are still buying my books or that I just received some affiliate payment). Once the planning is done I just do a sync with Dropbox. Emergency Info Check.

I did this exercise last year and it proved to be one of the most challenging blog posts I ever wrote. It also proved to be quite a viral endeavor, “infecting&# dozens of blogs with similar lists. I agree the books were largely based on some of the most popular blog posts and that made the task a little bit easier.
