Say at least one or two sentences to hear how your voice is being projected. Don’t turn your head away from it or your voice will not project evenly and your message will not be clear. Project – make your voice as resonant as possible. Make sure you can be heard at the back of the room. Speak directly into the microphone.

Don’t look at the entire project, you may never get started. When managing multiple projects or actions, you need to know which are the most important (not necessarily urgent) and work on them first. Project your voice to the back of the room, using your diaphragm, not your vocal chords, to increase the volume. The microphone should be 2 to 5 inches away from your mouth—no farther. Raise your voice pitch slightly from your normal speaking voice. It will make you sound more energized and less tired. Enunciate your consonants.
