I use my iPhone every day and I’ve found there are loads of apps which are really helpful for assistants and their managers, most of which probably have either an iPhone or an iPad. This app is slightly more expensive but worth paying for if your manager travels a lot. Love this app for myself and my manager. FlightTrack: £2.99

You can use review websites to select venues, hotels and local restaurants. LinkedIn and Twitter to find speakers, team building activities, caterers, attendees and presentation topics. Ask those that attended to promote the benefits on all of their social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn and Twitter.

Twitter is amazing for recommendations! Apart from the usual diary management, calls etc, today looked liked this: I arrived at 9.00am, read through and prioritised emails. I finalised show flow and liaised with the restaurant and AV company in Cannes on the final details. I usually arrive at 9.00am (trains dependent!)
