On days where I’ve been too knackered after work to cook, for lunch the next day, I’d pop to one of many great restaurants near the office. There are some fab vietnamese restaurants – I’m partial to a kimchi banh mi. Always think of how you can better yourself and what you can learn. What do you enjoy most about your role?

I have been on some interactive sites where assistants ask questions and get answers and I learn from them as I have some of the same questions. Lunch n learns are also a good way to learn from each other. Administrative newsletters or bulletin boards where you can post tips or suggestions is a good way to learn.

or even the mere possibility of arguing (I've even eaten restaurant food that wasn't what I ordered, because I didn't want to deal with the drama of sending it back). But I'm learning (when I have to, I even send an incorrect order back to the restaurant kitchen), and practicing, and noticing. It's hard.

I recently received an e-newsletter from Jane Watson regarding Acronyms and Initialisms , which I thought was timely and wanted to share with you. Depending on how acronym happy your office is, it can be like learning a new language. It has become such a common initialism that it is recognized immediately and everyone knows what it is.

I confess now that the game took only 15 hours of coding (including some learning of Lua). I used mainly to learn and test the AppStore submission process.
