I printed these off and had them next to my keyboard whenever I was working through another set of meeting notes. I used to find that I repeated the same words over and over to describe the decisions made and actions agreed. So a few years ago I wrote out a list of 50 handy verbs that I could slot into the minutes as and when I needed them.

Some people in the office were trying to get the remote working as we had a PowerPoint presentation coming up and were calling it things like remote thingy , remote slide clicker, wireless mouse so I finally asked, "Does anyone know what the official name for that thing is?" It's called a Presentation Remote. Thanks Patty.

I was in a workshop today on presentation skills and one of the things they had us do was present something to the group while they filmed us. Other than the extra work I need to do at the gym to tone up and trim down, I saw some good qualities as well and it was helpful to see myself present. Thanks Anonymous for sharing.

Wipe last night’s cereal crumbs from your keyboard. As a solopreneur, you should be accountable to your “board” to follow up and report on last quarter’s game plan. Develop, present and lock down a specific business plan. Present 15,000 words at next month’s meeting or do not pass go. The solopreneurial dream is sexy.
