I also haven’t been growing or learning anything new since Day 1 because my boss won’t give me projects. How do I get a recommendation letter from my boss for a new job hunt without raising suspicion or improve my situation without my boss’ help? You also have more negotiating leverage for a better salary and projects.

Recently, I’ve been reading quite a bit about job hopping and how common it is becoming, particularly for younger people entering the work force. It’s an interesting topic for me because as I said I have always been a job hopper. Here are a few of my thoughts… Salary increase.

Here are some tips as your career progresses that will affect how you job hunt. The lower-level admin you are the more jobs there are. Your job hunt will take a lot longer. The higher up you go on the ladder of admin roles, the longer your job hunt will take. Job hunt with focus.

I do work well on my own but I also like to get involved in projects and feel that I can contribute to any group work either using my creative or organisational skills. Think about a project you have worked on that made a difference or an organisational trick you implemented for your manager that saved them plenty of time.

I make an incredible salary so when I tell my husband and friends I want to explore other avenues, they think I'm crazy. I knew I didn’t want to job hunt for more than 6-9 months if I didn’t have to. And as I was working, job hunting and/or temping, I had to find other sources of happiness. 3) Have a strategy.
