Follow up with the meeting organizer to request agenda and/or meeting materials, pre-reading, etc. Where is the meeting being held? If it is an internal meeting, has a meeting space been booked? Once you have those details you can start the scheduling process to find a convenient time for everyone.

The sooner they are up to speed, the sooner they will be able to contribute to the team and that helps everyone. Be kind to your new hires and available to answer their questions and help them learn the ropes. The checklist also included such things as a tour (bathrooms, breakroom, where to find a frig to store lunches, etc.)

It worked and through explaining the process to her I added a column at the end of the table in Word by tabbing over, which automatically creates a new row. Sometimes I find a simple procedure can be made more complicated than it really is so responded that a cut and paste from Excel to Word should do the trick. She was amazed.
