It is very hard for small business to find the money to support training. I wrote an article called Getting To Yes that outlines the steps you need to take to persuade your executive to support your training. What about taking advantage of training from Skillsoft or an employee training through your company?

I've looked at the IAAP membership and certifications. I am so glad Corleen asked this because not only in the administrative arena but in the training arena in general, people get confused between: certificate programs, certifications and professional designations. For example, we have Star Achievement Series Certification training.

Last week I received a cool message about two administrative professionals who attended the Joan Burge, "Takin It to the Streets" one-day workshop. Both assistants attended different parts of the tour, one Chicago, the other Cincinnati yet they are part of the same IAAP chapter. Tags: Admin Assistant Training.
