Do you hear the ‘ Ring, Ring’ of the Get-a-Clue phone? Not long after, I had phone call with a close friend that has known me since high school. Eerily, you happened to have just picked up a book two weeks prior, again, dissecting the same issue. It’s a message, folks! Are you hearing it? Are you hearing it? Friend: I miss you.

I did this by becoming a member of IAAP. My self-esteem grew by leaps and bounds as I became more active in IAAP. Joanne is a current member of Silicon Valley Catalysts Association (SVCA) and past President of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP), San Jose and Crossroads Chapters.

There is a team behind the amazing conference event. From the first phone call to register for the conference to picking up my name tag, the entire team carried out the professionalism of Joan. Daily huddles are to be done in person or via the phone (not text or email). I also learn by doing not just reading or watching.

Some people dont play well in a team and can be like that link in the chain that keeps skipping. What can you do if you are part of a team that is not playing well together? Are you doing your part and contributing to the goals of the team or are you getting bogged down with situations? Good team play can be contagious.

I can tell you my friends and colleagues got a lot of phone calls in those early days and it was a wonderful resource and help to me. Below are some things that I have found helpful to build my network: Join a professional association such as the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP). Excellent material!

Sometimes I wish I had something to warn me when I am with someone with a cell phone so I can know that we are going to be interrupted. I find it frustrating when people either text while in a conversation or are constantly taking phone calls. Apparently not, when its by phone. In an emergency, the cell phone is a useful tool.
