A certification can certainly help you get promoted to an executive assistant position or be considered for an executive assistant position. There are some certification programs out there that, unfortunately, don’t teach you how to build partnership with your executive or how to manage your executive’s day; but our programs do. (JB).

I've looked at the IAAP membership and certifications. Such as at IAAP, you can receive your CPS and CAP designation. IAAP also has established recertification criteria. You can learn more about this through IAAP. A promotion? Tags: Career Management. Corleen writes, "I'm a Senior Level Executive Assistant.

The CPS certification from IAAP was a very positive step which encouraged me to finish my BA degree. That’s when I turned to IAAP and am currently working towards my CAP-OM certification. This year I will be seeking some EA certifications through IAAP and Office Dynamics in order to keep my skills fresh and relevant.

Some have lost jobs, didn’t get promotions or pay raises, or lost funding due to employer budget cuts. Shortly thereafter, I received the IAAP Member of Excellence and the CAP certification. Admittedly, this year has been challenging- economically and environmentally. This was a very busy year for me. A new topic each month.
