You actually end up thinking that you are working harder, yet you are reducing your productivity by about 30%. Thats quite a bit of work that you could be catching up on throughout your day, each and every day. Then I would open up the applications associated with the next task. Believe it or not, this can lower productivity.

I have discovered that by keeping my hands on those knitting needles (and off of the keyboard) and looking around to see what I have to share with others through my area Freecycle group, I can experience that oh-so-good feeling of fulfillment and wealth. Yes, I can see that we’ll have to meet up in March. It’s pretty funny.

Another time I was trying to find a full-serve gas station to fill up, but there was nothing to be found. I travel far to try and find a full-serve station, but they are becoming extinct. It was expensive,but when I brought it home I had to do all the work to get it up and running. Recently, I bought a new laptop.

It works well when it is a co-worker who sits closest to you, but depending on how your office is set up that might not be possible. Last week I was sick and could barely get up to call into the office, so it was nice that my buddy could take care of it. It is also amazing how much we pick up from our co-workers during the day.

I take the bus to work and I often see people getting on a busy bus and then going through their backpack or purse looking for their bus tickets and holding up the line. I like to be prepared and I find life just works better for me at home, work and even on the bus, when I am organized and ready for whatever is coming up. no tickets.

I am now leaving Atlanta to travel to Birmingham and the impression I am left with is I have never been in a city that smiles so much. From the young cadet who waited while I got my subway pass and directed me to the downtown core, to the man who recommended the High Museum and Atlanta Aquarium and gave me directions on how to get there.

I was at the cottage with a friend and she was cranky and started to get wound up about something to do with her husband. Hi, how are you?
