Becoming too comfortable in your career and with your skills can set you up for problems if you suddenly find yourself out of work. They may feel they have even less time for a personal life, which compounds the stress.

Employers have to weed through hundreds of resumes for even the most basic jobs, so they immediately discard ones where the skills don’t match their requirements. Go knock on doors. I want to put my CV on the market but I don't know how to say that I'm leaving behind because my boss has been fired, I don't know when they're going to replace him, I don't have any work to do and I'm worried I'm next on the chopping block!
