We typically don’t use Google Workspace apps, but we do use Google Drive for some specific use cases and can easily link to folders or files from our Microsoft Office applications when needed. We can track task completion via email or Slack so that we stay current on what stages of completion tasks are at.

If you use social media make your manager aware that you have this skill set and can help the company with their social media strategy. Do keep an eye on your reputation, Google your name every now and again to make sure your details are up to date and remain professional. This is especially important if you are looking for a new job.

You can follow and connect with other Assistants, clients, colleagues, suppliers, brand ambassadors and influencers. Google Alert – if you want to impress the boss, gain brownie points and have up to date news you can set up google alerts for topics of interest (company updates, products & services, clients etc.).

In an attempt to answer this question I first did a quick Google search and was astonished to find a number of websites detailing the skills required for sales people and cold callers to ‘get past the gatekeeper’.
