When I was in 11th grade or so I had a private jazz piano teacher, who was pretty cool, and my highschool music teacher asked him to come in and do a seminar. I think this is one of the reasons we tend to be fascinated with celebrities that fall from grace – not, probably, our finest trait but it’s understandable from this angle.
