The keyboard should usually be at a low height, near the height of your elbows and the mouse should be right next to the keyboard. Try different keyboards and mice – there are many designs on the market. Position the monitor so the top is about at the level of your eyes and it is straight in front of you.

Every time I cue it up, I am in front of my keyboard ready to go. My goal is 3,000 words in whatever form I can manage. Rituals simply train our minds to get to the business at hand, to remind us what is coming and what is accomplished. By doing this, I don’t have to decide where to go or check reviews. Same Music.

Tips and Tools You Can Use In the same way we exercise our muscles to keep fit, we have to continue to train our brain to maintain its efficiency over time. Put pen to paper (or finger tips to keyboard) and record important dates in a calendar, notebook or on your mobile device. So hang up the phone, find a quiet place and focus.
