  A while back I was interviewed by HCPro about managing to-dos.  Coordinators have many options when it comes to picking a to-do list system. The trick with hand-written lists is to pick one system and stick to it. Review past files, e-mails, and calendars to fill in specific dates for tasks and appointments.

There is a lot of work that goes into preparing for the interview and to know that you were successful is a great feeling. I went on one interview only to find out at the end of it that it was not something I wanted to do, so I let them know I was not interested. I look over the filing system and become familiar with that.

Thank goodness I get three tries to pick the right one before the system locks me out. On some sites there is an option to "Remember my password," which is helpful until your system crashes and you lose everything and then how are you ever going to remember what the password was in the first place since you havent had to enter it in a year?

Try to anticipate the need so you can have the file or the answer your boss needs, before he or she even knows they need it. Maintaining a good bring-forward system is important to have things ready when needed. A good assistant knows just where to find the document or file needed, or they won’t stop looking till they do.
