Here are some reasons I think managers can get possessive: Im not sure I can trust you. A manager has to have confidence that you know how to do your job. I never wanted to be a manager.

Here is some common-sense etiquette: Screen your calls: Subscribe to call display. However, I think our etiquette hasnt caught up with the technology.
