Last weekend, the keyboard lights went out. The ALT works the same way as the ALT key on your computer keyboard. It makes the alternate numbers and characters on the keyboard available. As you can imagine, I couldn’t use the keyboard at night. Read on, you may find a surprise. I was a bit frustrated. Time will tell.

Motorola Droid and CLIQ

I was considering one of the Android phones and the Motorola CLIQ has stood out given the tight integration with Google Apps and social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook. I also have not set up any of my 8 email accounts on the DROID (again, I am moving slowly). KEYBOARD: I always wanted a physical keyboard.

Blackberry Pearl Flip Makes Me Flip

The only thing I noticed was some lag when typing an email. You see, I use my phone heavily for email. What’s worse is that as the keyboard is getting more use, it’s not as sensitive. I see the same lag switching in and out of the Calendaring application as I do for emails. It worked great there.

In other words, I wanted to be able to access my email, calendar, tasks, and notes from anywhere. They include Better Keyboard, Math Works, Brain Genius, DroidLive, Pandora, Movies, Where!, Google Apps did everything except Tasks. That’s it for now. There are a lot more apps that I’ve downloaded and I’m test-driving.
