It's December, the time of year when our thoughts are drawn to holiday festivities and the purchase of gifts. With the increase in virtual services and communication done entirely via email, Skype and Slack, you may not even have a physical address to send a gift to. For example, one year I created personalized notecards for clients.

Evernote provides a unique email address to send information to your account. Evernote recognizes text on the card, so you can search for names such as “Staples” or “Henry” when that’s all you can remember about the person. For example, you can select the color of ink you’d like to use.

SOLUTION TO TRY THE 3x5 CARD METHOD Go to the store and purchase some 3x5 cards.    Green for work and blue for personal for example.    I carry a Note Jotter by Staples in my purse and love it.    Click to get posts as we publish Prefer less email?   This rarely works.

When it's accepted, I go to their profile and download their vCard into Outlook, adding any other contact info by reading their business card (the vCard never has a phone number, for example.) Staple the cards into a little notebook, one card per page. Next I import them into IContact and send them a nice to meet you eMail.
