'We had a fabulous weekend celebrating my son’s 10th birthday—I can’t believe he’s 10 already; the time has flown by. I remember how grateful I was that I was self-employed when I was expecting him. I gave myself a 10-month maternity leave and all I did during that time was send out a regular newsletter. Then when he was nine months old, I slowly started easing back into business again by working just a few hours a week, and gradually building up from there.
