A well organised travel itinerary is an essential service that assistants can provide for their managers. Think about all the different bits of paper you have to keep with you – tickets, hotel details, travel guides. One of my directors travelled from Sydney to Tokyo on the same trip.

OneNote: My Filing Cabinet In The Clouds. create notebooks and files just like I would with paper, but now it is all organized on my computer. LNM LOVES Dropbox! We were trying to figure out a way for my Associates and I to share files within my home office but also with my business partner that lives about 20 minutes away.

And anything stored on your hard drive can be retrieved from backup files (I use Carbonite for those who are interested). This is where I mark travel and other significant events throughout the month. I use Google Calendar as a back up for all my important dates, travel, appointments, etc. 2-page-per-day sheets.

Also, if you prefer to book your own travel or schedule meetings yourself, there’s no shame in wanting to keep those tasks. Someone may tell you what you “should” be giving up but hiring a VA is supposed to make your life easier – not more stressful or uncomfortable. Where will you share files?

Once you created the model, XCode will generate the implementation files for your objects. Say you have an object called Task in Core Data, Xcode will take care of the implementation files, so all you have to do in code is to write something like: task.dueDate to get the due date property of a task. Incredibly stressful.
