For the past year and a half, I have worked as the EA to the Head of Dropbox Europe and the Global Head of Customer Experience, but my role has recently changed. A well organised travel itinerary is an essential service that assistants can provide for their managers. Think about all the different bits of paper you have to keep with you – tickets, hotel details, travel guides. One of my directors travelled from Sydney to Tokyo on the same trip.

Lately I have been doing a lot of travelling in my business but still want to stay connected to my clients and business. The Dropbox software adds an additional folder to your PC/laptop that you simply drop your files into and you can access from any PC that has the Dropbox software installed.

Fun travel apps are Skype (for calling home), SimplyNoise (great for sleeping in noisy places), Sit or Squat (find a bathroom), and CheapGas. My Kindle app is a lifesaver while traveling. I have Dropbox on my phone as well so I can easily send documents to my consultants while on the road.
