They just don’t want to get on that damn train or freeway or whatever it happens to be for an hour each way with a whole bunch of smelly people they don’t know and worry about it being on time and the stress that goes along with that. But actually what we ended up doing is just send a lot more emails and communicate a lot more.

It allows us to easily email branded invoices to our clients, which they can then pay by mail or online. By recording payments as we receive them, we can just as easily monitor overdue payments and send email reminders. LNM LOVES Dropbox! Then we found out about Dropbox. I sit in my car and check my email.

Depending on the tool you choose, you can use color codes, set priority levels, track progress, establish deadlines and even ask your system to remind you (via text or email or pop-up usually) of appointments or to-do items or anything else you so desire. I keep a copy of this in my online Dropbox and a physical printed copy in my planner.

And I will get an email stating that my receipt was received and that it will be soon processed. After the receipt image is processed, you get a chance to generate a report from within the same iPhone app and send that report to you (or to someone else) by email. I got a confirmation email for this piece of paper too.

Someone may tell you what you “should” be giving up but hiring a VA is supposed to make your life easier – not more stressful or uncomfortable. Email, text, phone, chat? Collect them and send a single email to be answered once a day? Google Drive, Dropbox, and Box are all great options. Happy hunting!

Of course, deadlines are always looming and the very thought of the word conjures up stress and chaos. I love your perception. I like the liveline much better.
