Dropbox just changed my mind. After trying out lots of online storage options early in my business, a few years ago I finally settled on Dropbox. I have come to love Dropbox, from the ease of use to features like having an expiration date on a shared file. If you’ve ever been through the process, it includes a lot of emailing.

In order to monitor contractors’ work, keep the communication streamlined and work together on things remotely, we used a number of applications that we work with internally with all the VAs to optimize work progress and avoid confusion: Communication: Skype, Google Chat, Yammer. File exchange: Dropbox, WeTransfer. Review: Google Docs.

" That is what I heard from her as we were talking on the phone.  It allows us to easily email branded invoices to our clients, which they can then pay by mail or online. By recording payments as we receive them, we can just as easily monitor overdue payments and send email reminders. Can't Live Without Google.

I’m a virtual gal and a firm believer in storing these things in the cloud in such places as Google Docs and Dropbox. You might squeeze in a phone call at the airport or in a taxi, but this is iffy, so don’t rely on it. Don’t forget email, a daily (at least) recurring task that must be planned for.
