I feel like I can jump from cubicle to cubicle across the world, being a fly, er, spider on the wall. They can’t even look forward to retirement, because they’re going to have to work longer now. Find well managed companies and you can see that even in tough times, the environment is better than most.

Breathe and know that there’s no need to retreat back to cubicle-land. There is an escape from the Money Panic, and it doesn’t involve selling off retirement investments or increasing your credit card limit. The act of starting a business demands this initiation from every entrepreneur. It feels awful, but it’s perfectly survivable.

And due to outsourcing, Boomers not retiring, and Gen Yers being told (by older generations mind you) to get degrees in their "passion" or that "any degree" is a path to success.you end up with a lot of overworked, underpaid 20somethings. Looking at single parent families and the impact on our children, I would argue it was a good thing, and so would the many parents working from home exactly for that reason – to provide a healthy family environment for their loved ones. People are less stressed when they can adjust their hours or days to family or personal needs.
