I've looked at the IAAP membership and certifications. Often if you have attended a workshop, seminar, course, in-house training, even a webinar, you can attain a Certificate of Completion. This means you completed the course (whatever that might be). Such as at IAAP, you can receive your CPS and CAP designation.

Try to attend training courses that are offered for executive admin as much as you can (even if it is just one time a year and you travel to another city for it). I am trying to find a local networking association.

Take an online course There are a host of online courses available for the adult learner. You may want to make sure the course is a credit course so that in the future the credit(s) may be transferable. Another site that offers free tutorials and courses is HP. Getting educated can be as easy as 1-2-3-4-5-6!

The good thing about on-line courses, is anyone can do it from anywhere. When it gets closer to the course date and it doesnt look like they will fill the seats, they offer the course at a cheaper price. They can slot you into courses, either online or live classrooms that are happening tomorrow or later on.

Of course, I love my iPad (newer, bigger, lightweight screen with the keyboard by Apple); loving my AirPods (no wires!); My third was reading.
