Thank a mentor. Where you live, how much money you make, your job title and even your health have surprisingly small effects on your satisfaction with life. Comment by Mary on February 28, 2008 @ 3:10 pm I’d even say for #4 to thank anyone – mentor or otherwise. Invest time and energy in friends and family.

Burnout also negatively impacts your health. A good people leader is always willing to mentor and assist their team members. Aim high, but never sacrifice your health or personal life to get there. Put your health first. Burnout leads to a loss of motivation and interest in a job they once enjoyed. Set boundaries.
