I knew we were going to go back to that city the next year so negotiated with the hotel that if I booked the next event at their venue would they waive the cancellation fee. Negotiation As you saw above, negotiation is possible. Fortunately, they were able to waive it and we only lost our $500 deposit. It is always worth asking.

I was putting to work some skills, but without putting my soul, my self or my life into it. Your internal voices will start telling you: “nothing good will come out of this, because you didn’t respond with kindness”. And, depending on how powerful your script is, those internal voices can be pretty strong. A robotish approach.

Feeling rather confident, I pushed it even further: I added a new table in the adding area (the one you actually see right now in the app, if you have it) in order to choose what type of item is added: a task, a project, an idea or an event. No more arguing or negotiating, I just started to code it.
